Sono stati assegnati i Ghastly Awards 2016, premi dedicati al fumetto horror. Tra i vincitori dell’edizione 2016 c’è anche un fumetto italiano nella sua traduzione in lingua inglese: Dylan Dog – Mater Morbi, scritto da Roberto Recchioni e disegnato da Massimo Carnevale, premiato come miglior graphic novel.
La storia è originariamente apparsa sul numero 280 di Dylan Dog, pubblicato da Sergio Bonelli Editore nel dicembre del 2009. L’edizione statunitense è pubblicata dalla casa editrice Epicenter Comics, che si è basata su quella da libreria di Bao Publishing.
Indetti nel 2011 in onore del famoso disegnatore EC Comics, Graham Ingels, i Ghastly Awards sono diventati rapidamente i premi di riferimento nel segmento del fumetto horror. I riconoscimenti sono divisi in 15 categorie e assegnati da una giuria composta sia da autori che da fans.
