Durante la serata di venerdì 23 luglio si è tenuta l’assegnazione degli Eisner Awards 2021, intitolati al compianto Will Eisner. I premi, nell’ambito del fumetto statunitense, sono l’equivalente del premio Oscar per il cinema.

Come l’anno scorso, a causa l’emergenza legata al Coronavirus, gli Eisner Awards sono stati comunicati online, all’interno di Comic-Con@home, l’edizione virtuale di San Diego Comic-Con.

Quest’anno è stata aggiunta una nuova categoria, quella come Miglior biografia a fumetti, che va a rispecchiare la sempre maggiore presenza sul mercato di pubblicazioni di questo genere.
